Picnic Facts: Where: Fabyan Forest Preserve Shelter # 3, Enter at Route 25 near the windmill, and proceed down the hill to the large parking lot along the river. Shelter 3 is in the northeast corner of the parkling lot, WEST of the windmill and EAST of the river. When: Sunday, September 13. Bike ride departs at 11:30. Non-riding picnic fans will begin gathering around 12 noon, and the target is to have food coming off the grill around 1 PM or so. Who: You, your guests, your friends. Children are welcome, but we have no specific program for kids. Somebody is bringing a bean bag set and a badminton set. Why: It's the end of summer! Note: Kane Country Forest Preserve District does NOT allow alcohol, please don't bring any. Pets must be on a leash and the woods across Route 25 have hiking trails, but WATCH OUT for Poison Ivy.
