Volunteers Needed

Youth Outlook, formerly the Questioning Youth Center (QYC), seeks volunteers to assist with operating our drop-in centers, youth leadership program and community education work. If you have 5 hours per month to spare, we will provide the training you need.
Youth Outlook’s weekly groups meet in DeKalb on Mondays, in Naperville on Tuesdays, and Aurora on Thursdays. And coming in spring, 2009, our new drop-in center in St. Charles! Got

The upcoming volunteer training is tentatively scheduled for the April 11th, 18th and 25th. &*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*&*& PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION AVAILABLE Posting Date: January 26, 2009 Youth Outlook seeks candidates for a newly created, full time Program Manager position working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth in the western suburbs. This grant- funded position will be primarily an evening position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising activities and staff for drop- in centers with special emphasis on the establishment and launch of the new Geneva/St.Charles drop in center. Youth Outlook offers schedule flexibility and opportunity to telecommute on some established workdays. Occasional weekend hours are necessary. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in human services preferred, equivalent combination of education and experience in human services accepted. Previous supervisory experience desireable. Bi-lingual Spanish/English desireable. Dependable transportation and reliable internet access required. Internal posting application deadline is February 4, 2009.
